BED ASSEMBLY AND CONSTRUCTION

We spend over one-third of our lives in bed, not only sleeping but also reading and relaxing, all good reasons for Navilo to pay extra special attention to how it makes its beds. A bed needs to be extra sturdy. It must also be dismantled easily into parts that can pass through a door. All Navilo beds are tested to an approved weight capacity of 600 pounds/273 kilograms to meet proven standards for safety and stability. We developed our own hardware (patent pending), which guaranties easy assembly and extreme sturdiness.

Our traditional bed construction system use four cross slats for maximum stability. This type of frame support is for use with a box spring and mattress.

"THICKER IS NOT BETTER"... WHEN IT COMES TO MATTRESSES
Standard American mattresses today range from about 8 inches (20 cm) to more than 15 inches (38 cm) in thickness. We recommend a maximum thickness of 12½ inches (30.5 cm) for Navilo platform beds. When buying a mattress, always make sure that the thickness does not hide the beauty of your headboard. Our beds are design for an approximate thickness of 16 inches (40 cm) to 20 inches (51 cm), box spring and mattress measurement combined. For the euorpean and latin american markets, we also offer our beds with modified measurements, such as lower head boards, foot boards etc.

FINE MULTI-LAYER FINISHES FOR TOP VALUE
Navilo's fine finishes are a key factor in your furniture lasting value. In expert hands, stains can be mixed and blended to match or imitate the color and even the grain of other woods. The types of materials, number of coats of stain, filler, sealer and topcoat - and the amount of hand labor devoted to each piece - provide the stunning color quality and beautiful surface sheen that give each piece of Navilo furniture a character of its own.

Navilo's quality finishes also protect and extend the life of your furniture by sealing the wood against moisture to prevent swelling, warping, checking and splitting. They also protect exposed wood surfaces from deterioration due to sunlight and other harmful agents.

If you see lower price tags on similar-looking pieces by different manufacturers, you can be sure there is a difference in finish quality too. It is in your best interest to ask about the type of finish used. A better finish will pay for itself many times over, giving your furniture longer life and longer-lasting value too. >>> MORE
